COVID-19 HAS GONE FROM THE FIRST REPORTED CASE IN CHINA ON DECEMBER 31 FOLLOWED BY THE FIRST CASE IN THE U.S. ON JANUARY 20. THE FIRST U.S. DEATH LESS THAN A MONTH AGO, FEBRUARY 29. TONIGHT THERE ARE MORE THAN 31,000 CASES IN THE U.S. WITH 400 DEATHS. PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCED FACTORIES AROUND THE U.S. ARE WORKING TO MODIFY THEIR OPERATIONS TO BUILD SUPPLIES. PRES. TRUMP: HELP FROM IBM, AMAZON, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT. REPORTER: WE ALSO KNOW HANES WILL BE MAKING MASKS, ANHEUSER-BUSCH’S BOTTLING HAND SANITIZER, AND G.M., TESLA, AND FORD ALL LOOKING TO HELP MAKE VENTILATORS.
